THE Borders has recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to Scottish Government statistics.
Figures published at 2pm today (Tuesday, January 26) show the region has now recorded 2,566 cases of COVID-19 since March last year.
There are now 38 people with coronavirus in hospital, with fewer than five in the intensive care unit (ICU).

A total of 1,049 people have tested positive for the virus over in the last 24 hours, across Scotland.
The national figure now stands at 174,002 since March.
