WHEN police officers visited a woman's house in Galashiels while enforcing a warrant, they discovered a 33-year-old man in the premises.
But Andrew Atkinson was already the subject of a non-harassment order not to contact the woman and was subsequently arrested.
Depute fiscal Ross Price told Selkirk Sheriff Court the police had visited the house in connection with an unrelated matter at around 5.20pm on December 21.
They discovered Atkinson and also his partner who he was banned from contacting.
The court heard that the partner had asked for the non-harassment order to be revoked.
Atkinson, who gave an alternative address in Galashiels, was sentenced to 80 hours of unpaid work for breaching the order.
Sheriff Kenneth McGowan agreed with a request from defence lawyer Mat Patrick to revoke the non-harassment order.
