TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place on a stretch of the A7 later this month.

Road maintenance firm BEAR Scotland is set to carry out overnight investigation works at Selkirk ahead of future resurfacing.

The temporary lights will be in operation between 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 17 and 5am on Thursday, February 18.

A spokesperson for BEAR said: "Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times.

"Strict physical distancing protocols are in place to protect teams and ensure they remain safe on site, in line with Scottish Government guidance.

"Relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans."
