A ‘DISTINCTIVE’ mobility scooter has been stolen from a Borders town, according to police.
The black scooter was taken from the Loan, in Hawick, on the morning of Thursday, January 21.
Police describe the scooter as “distinctive” – with it having just one mirror and one indicator lens at the time it was stolen.

In a statement issued yesterday (Monday, February 8), a police spokesperson said: “During the morning on Thursday January 21, 2021 a black Shoprider mobility scooter was stolen from the Loan in Hawick.
“The mobility scooter was distinctive in that one indicator lens was missing and it only had one mirror at the time it was stolen.
“Anybody with information is asked to call us on 101 or by completing our online ‘Contact Us’ form quoting reference 1165 of 21st January 2021.
“If you wish to report information anonymously you can do so by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by completing their online form.”
