JUST one new case of coronavirus was recorded in the Borders over the last 24 hours, according to Scottish Government statistics.
Figures published at 2pm today (Thursday, February 18) show the region has now recorded 2,759 cases of COVID-19 since March last year.
There are currently six people with coronavirus in hospital, with fewer than five in the intensive care unit (ICU).
October was the last time that the Borders recorded a rise of just one case.
Between September 30 and October 1, the case tally increased from 514 to 515.
