THE Borders has recorded one new case of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Tuesday, February 23), since the pandemic began the region has reported 2,791 cases of COVID-19.
For the third consecutive day there are seven people in hospital with coronavirus in the Borders.
Nationally there have been 655 new cases of the virus, taking the total since March to 198,839.
And across Scotland there are 1,076 in hospital.
