A MAN has appeared in court after being spotted in a Borders town he was banned from entering.
Peter Martin, 20, who gave an address in Kelso, was seen in Chirnside last Friday, prompting the police to be alerted.
He appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the breach of bail.
The court was told he had gone to Chirnside to collect a logbook from his parents’ property for a vehicle he was wanting to sell.
But Sheriff Peter Paterson said Martin had been told at his last court appearance that he should not be entering Chirnside.
Sentence was deferred until March 1 when Martin has other matters calling.
