THE Borders has recorded two cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, figures show.
According to data released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Friday, February 26), there have now been 2,801 cases of COVID-19 in the region since the start of the pandemic.
There are now fewer than five people in hospital with the virus in the Borders. Yesterday (February 25) there were seven people in hospital.
Nationally there have been 581 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total since March to 200,987.
And across Scotland there are 924 people in hospital with COVID-19, which is 43 fewer than yesterday.
