A MAN has been charged in connection with road traffic offences after a car crashed into a Borders bridge, say police.
Officers say they were called to an incident at Slitrig Bridge, Liddesdale Road, in Hawick at around 12.50pm on Monday (March 8).
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "There were no reports of any injuries.
"Officers attended and a 55-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.
"He was released on an undertaking and is due to appear at a later date."
