TWO people in the Borders died with coronavirus listed on their death certificate last week, latest figures show.
Statistics released today (Wednesday, March 10) by the National Records of Scotland (NRS) show that between March 1-7 two deaths related to COVID-19 occurred in the region.
In 2021 so far, the Borders has recorded 43 deaths where coronavirus was listed on the death certificate.
And since March last year the region's total number of deaths by this measure stands at 147.
Across Scotland there have been 3,024 coronavirus deaths this year, according to the latest NRS figures.
