A MAN who breached his Community Payback Order has been jailed for more than a year at a Borders court.
Barry Kirsopp, 29, was ordered to carry out 190 hours of unpaid work as a direct alternative to custody in October 2019.
He had admitted offences of police assault, obstructing police, theft by housebreaking, vandalism and two counts of threatening or abusive behaviour in Kelso and Galashiels.
But Kirsopp failed to carry out the terms of the Community Payback order and was brought back to Jedburgh Sheriff Court where he was given a prison sentence of 370 days.
