ONE coronavirus-related death was recorded in the Borders last week, figures show.
Data was released by the National Records of Scotland on Wednesday (March 17).
It states one death was recorded in the week of March 8-14 with COVID-19 mentioned on the death certificate.
In 2021 so far there have been 44 virus-related deaths in the Borders. And since the pandemic began in March last year, there have been 148 deaths.
Nationally 9,831 people have died with coronavirus listed on their death certificate.
