TESTS for people without coronavirus symptoms will be offered in Galashiels this week.
NHS Borders says COVID-19 testing will take place in the Volunteer Hall on St John Street from tomorrow (March 25) until Sunday (March 28).
Tests will be available between 10.30am and 3pm at the Galashiels venue, the health board says.
NHS Borders’ director of public health, Dr Tim Patterson, said: “It may seem counterintuitive to get tested when you do not have any symptoms, but around a third of people with COVID-19 do not experience symptoms.”
To book a test, call 01896 826 370 or email ATS.Service@borders.scot.nhs.uk
Meanwhile, tests for people without symptoms will also be offered this week in fire stations in the following towns:
- Duns – March 24-26
- Selkirk – March 27-29
The venues will be open between 10.30am and 3pm.
Testing in Lauder is set to end today (March 24).
