FOR the first time this year no coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the Borders last week.
The data, released on Wednesday (March 24) by the National Records of Scotland (NRS), covers the week between March 15-21.
For the first 10 weeks of 2021, between one and nine coronavirus-related deaths had been recorded each week.

A total of 44 people have died with coronavirus in the Borders this year.
Nationally, 3,194 people have died with COVID-19 on their death certificate in 2021.
Scottish Government figures released on Wednesday showed the region has recorded 2,857 cases since the pandemic began last March.
