A CAVE explorer living in the Borders will soon give an online talk about his adventures across the globe.

Richard Gerrish has been exploring caves since the age of 15 – a passion that has taken him all over the world.

Mr Gerrish, who has lived in West Linton with his family since 2019, will be speaking at the next instalment of the West Linton Village Centre’s On-Lyne Talks on Tuesday (March 30) at 7pm.

Regarding the event, a Village Centre spokesperson said: “Over the last 25 years he has travelled across five continents leading and participating in expeditions that have conducted explorations in some of the world’s most dramatic caves.

“From the freezing cold of the Austrian Alps to the steamy rainforests of Malaysia, and on to the seemingly endless caves of China; Richard has been chasing the thrill of going to places on this planet that nobody has been to before, and to be fair, very few have any desire to go to at all.

“During this talk Richard will attempt to explain why!”
