THE Borders has recorded seven new cases of coronavirus over the weekend.
Between Friday (March 26) and today (Monday, March 29) the Borders saw the total number of cases – since the outbreak of the pandemic – grow from 2,863 to 2,870.
According to data released by the Scottish Government today at 2pm, there are fewer than five people in the region in hospital with COVID-19 – this has been the case for the last 31 days.
Nationally, there are 259 people in hospital.
Since the pandemic began, Scotland has reported 217,479 cases of coronavirus.
