ONE new case of coronavirus has been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Thursday, April 1), the total number of COVID-19 cases since March 2020 is now 2,872.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with the virus remains at fewer than five for the 34th day running.
Nationally, a total of 218,832 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began last year.
