UPDATE - 9.45pm on Tuesday, April 6 - Police have confirmed Kyle Bearman has been traced “safe and well”.
Inspector Scott Finlay said: "Due to the rapid and responsible actions of the public, the police obtained information leading us to trace Kyle safely and return him home. Once again, the public have been a key factor in securing the safety of a missing person."
POLICE are trying to trace an 11-year-old boy reported missing in the Borders.
Officers say Kyle Bearman was last seen leaving an address in Hawthorn Road in Langlee, Galashiels, at 4pm today (Tuesday, April 6).
In an appeal issued at 6.27pm, a police spokesperson said: “There are growing concerns for his welfare.
“He is described as white, approximately 5ft tall, slim build with short blond hair and dark rimmed glasses.
“When last seen he was wearing a blue padded Trespass puffer jacket.
“Anyone who may have seen Kyle since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2134 of April 6.”
