John Swan, 82, from Jedburgh, pleaded guilty at Edinburgh Sheriff Court
A BORDERS pensioner has admitted a historical sexual offence involving a girl under 13 years old.
During a jury trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, 82-year-old John Swan, from Jedburgh, pleaded guilty to lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour towards the youngster.
The pensioner's not guilty pleas to indecent behaviour towards a girl aged between 12 and 16 and another charge of indecent assault were accepted by the Crown.
The case was continued until June 2 for the production of a psychiatric report and Swan was made subject to the notification requirements of the sex offenders register.
