A BORDERS man found with hundreds of pornographic photographs of children has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for the next three years.
Mark Bennett, 51, pleaded guilty to a second charge of making indecent images of children including a 14-year-old girl.
The offences happened at his Traquair home near Innerleithen between December 2011 and February 2020.
As a direct alternative to custody he was given a three-year Community Payback Order with supervision and also conduct requirements.
Defence lawyer Mark Harrower told Selkirk Sheriff Court his client was embarrassed at the offences and had lost his job as a financial adviser as a result.
