NO coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the Borders last week, new figures show.

The National Records of Scotland (NRS) published an update on Wednesday (April 21).

The figures cover the week beginning Monday, April 12.

They show that 150 people in the region have died with COVID-19 mentioned on their death certificate since March last year.

A total of 46 of those were in 2021.

Nationally, 3,353 coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded this year.
