THE Borders has recorded zero new cases of coronavirus for the fifth consecutive day, the latest figures show.
Updated data was published by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (April 23).
It shows the Borders has recorded no new cases in the last 24 hours, meaning the region's total since the start of the pandemic remains at 2,883.
Nationally, the latest figures show that 224,851 cases have been recorded since March last year.
There are fewer than five people in hospital in the Borders with the virus which has been the case for the entirety of March and April, 2021.
