AN appeal has been launched after a car had its rear windscreen smashed in a Borders village.
Police say the incident happened between 3.30pm and 4.45pm on Monday (May 10) in St Boswells.
A spokesperson said: “A maroon Kia motor car has had its rear windscreen smashed while parked secure and unattended in the village of St Boswells.
“It would appear that no attempt has been made to gain entry and that it has been an act of vandalism.
“Did you see or hear anything suspicious? If you have any information regarding this incident please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 3873 of May 10.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
