A PERSON died in the Borders last week with coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate, new figures show.
The National Records of Scotland (NRS) published an update yesterday (Wednesday, June 9).
The figures cover the week May 31-June 6.

A total of 47 people have now died in the Borders this year with coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate, with the figure since the start of the pandemic at 151.
Across Scotland, eight deaths were registered that mentioned COVID-19 on the death certificate last week, according to the NRS statistics.
According to the NRS, “as at June 6, 10,130 deaths have been registered in Scotland where the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was mentioned on the death certificate”.
