HOLLYWOOD A-lister Harrison Ford was in the Borders on Friday working on the new Indiana Jones film.

The 78-year-old star arrived at the Leaderfoot Viaduct wearing his trademark leather jacket and fedora hat.

And crowds gathered at the location to catch a glimpse at the actor.

Speaking to Radio Borders on Friday, local councillor David Parker said: "It's tremendous that we're going to feature in this new movie, it's a franchise that's viewed all over the world and great for Melrose, Newstead and Leaderfoot that will feature.”

It’s not the first time the Borders has been used as a filming location.

St Abbs was recent transformed into New Asgard for the Avengers Endgame movie.

Border Telegraph Camera Club member Neil Renton captured these excellent photos of Harrison Ford’s visit to the Borders.
