THE Borders has recorded five new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
According to data released at 2pm today (Tuesday, June 15) by the Scottish Government, the total number of cases in the region since March 2020 has risen to 3,033 from 2,028 yesterday.
In the Borders there remain fewer than five people in hospital with the virus.
Nationally there have been 974 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, and the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now 248,515.
Across Scotland there are also nine more people in hospital with coronavirus – bringing this total to 137 patients.
