A 27-YEAR-OLD man tried to head-butt a police officer in the face during a dispute at a house in the Borders on April 26.
But Dean O'Donnell missed and instead hit the officer in the chest and he was uninjured by the assault.
The incident occurred at a house on Buccleuch Street, Innerleithen.
O'Donnell, now living in Loanhead, had sentence deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court for six months for good behaviour.
