The Peebles March Riding and Beltane Queen Festival Committee takes us through the programme of events for this year...

  • Memories: Sunday, June 20 – 6pm

We will see a number of messages on our Facebook Page from our local clergy and local organisations on their Beltane memories or what the Beltane Festival means to them.

  • Disco Night: Monday, June 21 – 6.30pm

The Beltane committee proudly present the Beltane Festival Monday Virtual Disco.

A virtual disco for the whole family to enjoy. Entry details will be published on our Facebook page.

  • Quiz Night: Tuesday, June 22 – 7.30pm

The famous quiz night is back. Get your thinking caps on and answer question from the master quizmaster secretary and Ex-Cornet George Blair, assisted by his lovely lass Fiona.

The winners will receive the one and only 2021 virtual quiz trophy.

  • Beltane Race Night: Wednesday, June 23 – 7pm

Races include the Virtual Principals National, the Virtual Ex-Cornets Race and the Virtual Beltane Bell. Runners and riders will be announced beforehand.

  • Reflection Night: Thursday, June 24 – All night

What are your favourite Beltane memories? How about sharing your favourite Beltane memories on FB, if you don’t do FB then email them to us as we can post them for you.

  • Front Garden Fancy Dress: Friday, June 25 – 7pm

Let’s get into fancy dress in your street and along with your neighbours enjoy the evening and send your photos in. No prizes, just create some great Beltane spirit.

  • Red Letter Day: Saturday, June 26 – All day

Message from the Mercat Cross. Boundary Readings by Beltane Principals. Remembrance service at the quadrangle. Virtual Retreat.

Other events:

  • Tweedie Treasure Hunt – Find the stones that make up the words ‘Your Beltane’. All the stones will be hidden in Hay Lodge Park. A great prize awaits the winner Details of where you can get an entry form and submissions details will be published on Facebook page.
  • Picture Treasure Hunt – The picture Treasure Hunt that went down a storm last year is back, and this year it will be tougher (so the secretary assures me). Entry details published on Facebook page.
  • Children’s Art competition – This was really successful last year so its back. Entry information published soon.
  • Beltane Memories – On Beltane Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday we will release short videos that will allow you to reflect on Beltane gone by. We will provide the pictures and sound on social media. You just need to supply your own memories. If you want to share them with us.
