A MAN has been charged in the Borders following reports of suspicious activity, say police.
According to Police Scotland, earlier this week there were “reports of persons acting suspiciously near to residential areas within Kelso”.
Following enquiries into those reports, a man has now been arrested and charged.

A police spokesperson said: “Following enquiries into reports earlier this week of persons trying doors in residential areas within Kelso, a male has been arrested, charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Please remember to ensure that your doors and windows are locked and vehicles are secure. Please make sure that no valuables are on display in vehicles even when parked in driveways.
“If you see any suspicious activity on or near your property then please contact Police Scotland immediately using 999 if the incident is ongoing otherwise call 101.
“Always consider your personal safety and do not put yourself at risk by confronting suspicious persons.”
