AN INTERACTIVE map shows the Borders neighbourhoods which have recorded the highest coronavirus case rates over seven days.

The map, created by Public Health Scotland, highlights data collected between June 30-July 6.

According to the map, six Borders areas have recorded positive coronavirus case rates within the highest brack (400 cases per 100,000 of the population) within this seven-day period.

Eyemouth recorded the highest case rate of all the Borders areas, with 1,000 cases per 100,000.

The other areas which recorded case rates of more than 400 per 100,000 include: Berwickshire East (853); Burnfoot (403); Chirnside and Area (606); Coldstream and Area (655); and Peebles North (420).

Out of the 30 areas in the Borders, 11 recorded case rates of 200-399 cases per 100,000, these included: Denholm and Hermitage (269); Earlston, Stow and Clovenfords Area (287); Galashiels West (234); Hawick Central (331); Hawick North (388); Hawick West End (364); Kelso North (248); Langlee (393); Peebles South (303); Tweeddale East Area (330); and Tweeddale West Area (211).
