BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Galashiels woman who admitted dangerous driving while over the alcohol limit.
Forty-eight-year-old Jane Mutch pleaded guilty to both offences which happened on the A7 road between Stow and Galashiels on June 13.
Selkirk Sheriff Court heard the vehicle was she was driving swerved into the opposite carriageway and also collided with a banking resulting in tyres and a bumper damaged but despite this she continued to drive for six miles when the car was not fit to be driven.
Sheriff Peter Paterson called for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report to be prepared and deferred sentence until August 9. He also imposed an interim driving ban.
