THE Borders has recorded zero coronavirus-related deaths for the fifth week in a row.
According to data released by the National Records of Scotland (NRS) today (July 14), for the week of July 5-11, no new deaths where coronavirus was listed on the death certificate, were reported in the region.
This marks the fifth week of no COVID-19 deaths in the Borders since the week beginning May 31 when one death was recorded.

The total number of deaths with COVID-19 listed on the death certificate in the Borders remains at 47 for this year.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Borders recorded 151 deaths by this measure.
Nationally there have been 3,518 this year to date.
