A BORDERS motorist has been banned from the road after being found guilty of a careless driving charge.
Twenty-three-year-old Matt Hannan, of Kelso, had denied the offence but was convicted after a trial.
He received six penalty points which under the totting-up procedure resulted in a six-month disqualification from driving.
In addition, Hannan was fined £450 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
