THE Borders has recorded one coronavirus-related deaths in the last week.
According to data released by the National Records of Scotland (NRS) today (July 21), for the week of July 12-18, one new death where coronavirus was listed on the death certificate was reported in the region.
This comes after five weeks of no COVID-19 deaths in the Borders since the week beginning May 31 when one death was recorded.

The total number of deaths with COVID-19 listed on the death certificate in the Borders now stands at 48 for this year.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Borders recorded 152 deaths by this measure.
Nationally there have been 3,566 this year to date.
