A BORDERS-BASED dance school has announced plans for a major expansion across the region in August.
Fiona Henderson School of Dance (FHSD) is scheduled to get new branches in Galashiels, Melrose, Selkirk and Hawick.
The school already has its own dance studios in Peebles and Biggar and existing branches in Moffat and Penicuik.
The latest expansion will create new teaching jobs as the number of classes offered expands to over 125 per week across all eight locations.
School principal Fiona Henderson said: “Dance really is for everyone – I love meeting pupils at two or three years old and then teaching them for the next 15 years or more. To see them grow and develop both as dancers and as people is extremely rewarding and we’re really excited to be opening in our new locations in August.”
