THE Borders has recorded more than 20 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (August 4), 23 positive cases of the virus were recorded in the Borders since yesterday.
The latest data shows that since the start of the pandemic the Borders has reported 4,488 cases of coronavirus.

There remain fewer than five people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of the virus, according to the latest update.
Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 349,286 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 383 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
