THE Borders recorded 20 new cases of coronavirus in a 24-hour period, the latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (August 13), the new cases were reported in the region over a 24-hour period, bringing the total number of cases since March 2020 to 4,701.
There are also 11 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Yesterday (August 12) the region recorded 12 people in hospital with confirmed COVID-19.
Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 359,442 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 356 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
