THE Borders recorded more than 100 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, figures show.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Monday, August 16) between Friday (August 13) and today, the number of positive cases in the Borders rose from 4,701 to 4,802.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with confirmed COVID-19 also rose over the weekend.

On Friday, 11 people were in hospital, this had risen to 14 by Sunday (August 15). However, today's figures show there are currently 13 people in hospital.
Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 365,427 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 337 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
