MELROSE Rugby Club are looking for a Social Media Executive to join their communications team.

The post has been advertised in conjunction with the Government’s new Kickstart Scheme which provides job opportunities for 16 to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

The role involves a broad range of tasks to support the wider business team in delivery of a programme of rugby, events and commercial activity.

The club say that they are looking for someone who can lead on content generation and deliver day-to-day- management of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Video production and graphic design skills would be beneficial.

This position is ideal for anyone looking to build a career in support or build a portfolio of work. The successful applicant(s) will work with Southern Knights, Melrose Rugby and the new-look Melrose Sevens.

The successful applicant(s) will have direct access to key individuals at the club and there will be opportunities to interview players, get involved in community initiatives, develop designs (across different media types) and understand the workings of a club on match day.
