AN INTERACTIVE Borders map shows the locations of new cases of coronavirus in the region.

The Borders is split into 30 neighbourhoods on the Public Health Scotland tool.

The map displays data from the period August 11-17.

According to the map, Hawick Central recorded the highest seven-day rate per 100,000 of 401.9 during that period.

Duns recorded a case rate of 394.7, Lauder and Area had a rate of 385.5, Galashiels North had a rate of 372.5, Chirnside and Area reported a rate of 353.4, Berwickshire East had a rate of 346.7, Kelso North had a seven-day case rate of 341.2, and Galashiels West recorded a rate of 334.7 per 100,000.

Earlston Stow and Clovenfords Area, Galashiels South, Hawick North, Langlee, Melrose and Tweedbank Area, Peebles North, and Selkirk also recorded case rates between 200-399 per 100,000.

The areas which recorded cases rates in the 100-199 band included: Burnfoot (134.2), Cheviot West (100.9), Coldstream and Area (109.2), Denholm and Hermitage (122.5), Ettrick Yarrow and Lilliesleaf Area (181.1), Eyemouth (142.9), Hawick West End (181.9), Kelso South (127.2), Peebles South (116.7), Tweeddale East Area (156.3), and Tweeddale West Area (194.3).

Berwickshire Central, Cheviot East, Jedburgh, and St Boswells and Newtown Area all recorded case rates between 50-99 per 100,000 of the population.
