Appeal launched after wheelie bin set on fire in Borders
AN appeal has been launched after a wheelie bin was set on fire in the Borders.
Police say the incident happened at Sprouston Cottages in Newtown St Boswells between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday, September 8.
A spokesperson said: “Fires like this have the potential to cause significant damage but on this occasion the fire was quickly extinguished.
“If you have any information that can assist our enquiries please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 1182 of September 8.
“Alternatively If you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.”
