THE Borders recorded more than 200 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, figures show.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Monday, September 13) since Friday (September 10) the number of positive cases in the Borders rose by 211 from 6,525 to 6,736.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with confirmed COVID-19 currently stands at 23 – one fewer than on Friday.

Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 508,882 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 1,048 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
