THE Borders has recorded more than 70 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics on cases at 2pm today (September 15).
And the new figures show the Borders saw 74 new cases of COVID-19 over the past day.
This brings the total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 6,876.
There are currently 26 people in hospital in the region with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus – three more than yesterday's data showed.
Since March last year, Scotland has now 517,216 cases, according to the figures.
