AN INTERACTIVE Borders map shows the locations of new cases of coronavirus in the region.

The Borders is split into 30 neighbourhoods on the Public Health Scotland tool.

The map displays data from the period September 8-14.

According to the map, Tweeddale West Area recorded the highest seven-day rate per 100,000 of 744.7 during that period.

Tweeddale East Area recorded a case rate of 660, Galashiels West had a rate of 602.4, Selkirk had a rate of 599.7, Galashiels North reported a rate of 532.2, St Boswelss and Newtown Area had a rate of 526.6, Hawick Central had a seven-day case rate of 520.1, Earlston Stow and Clovenfords Area recorded a rate of 506.2 per 100,000, Denholm and Hermitage recorded a rate of 465.3, Melrose and Tweedbank Area had a rate of 443.5, Peebles South recorded a rate of 443.3, Coldstream and Area recorded a rate of 436.7, Kelso South had a positive case rate of 424.1 per 100,000, Jedburgh recorded a case rate of 418.2, and Cheviot East had a rate of 410.3.

Ettrick Yarrow and Lilliesleaf Area, Duns, Berwickshire Central, Chirnside and Area, Lauder and Area, Hawick West End, Galashiels South, Berwickshire East, Langlee, Burnfoot, Eyemouth, and Hawick North all recorded case rates between 200-399 per 100,000.

The areas which recorded cases rates in the 100-199 band included: Peebles North (186.4), Kelso North (155.1), and Cheviot West (134.5).
