A RESIDENTIAL care home in Kelso has put on a fashion show for its residents.
Last week QME Care facilitated a “spectacular” event featuring a range of stylish looks, including 1940s high fashion, swinging sixties, beautiful bridal fashion and some disco dancing classics.
Staff at the home were in the show themselves, taking care of hair and makeup, arranging the set and showing off the clothing.
QME Care’s registered manager, Karen Ballard, said “It’s been a delight to see the smiles on the faces of our residents, alongside the reminiscing of memories from their lives in an earlier time. We have remained a COVID-free home throughout the entire pandemic, all while focusing on resident wellbeing. We take a person-centred approach and plan to introduce more themed weeks alongside individual person-centred activity plans.”
