POLICE are appealing to householders in a Borders town after reports of “persons trying house and vehicle doors”.
The reports have been received over the previous two nights in Kelso, according to officers.
Householders are being asked to review CCTV footage and contact the police via 101 – quoting incident number 0406 of October 1 – if any suspicious activity has been captured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If you see any suspicious activity on or near your property then please contact Police Scotland immediately using 999 if the incident is ongoing, otherwise call 101.
“Always consider your personal safety and do not put yourself at risk by confronting suspicious persons.”
