A 41-YEAR-OLD Borders woman threatened to kill another woman during a telephone call, Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been told.

Louise Boughen, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to repeatedly shouting and swearing and making threats of violence during the call on February 1.

Alison Atkins, prosecuting, explained that at 5.30pm a woman received a telephone call from the accused.

She said: "There was no call ID so she answered the call and placed it on loudspeaker.

"From the other end she and another person heard her say: 'I am coming round to your door. I am going to kill you.'"

The fiscal said the police were unable to trace Boughen and reported her by summons so therefore she was not cautioned and charged.

Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said: "She does not remember doing this. There has been bad blood between the parties in the past."

Sentence was deferred until January 24 for good behaviour.
