Scottish Government figures show the number of new cases recorded in the region
THE Borders has recorded 73 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (October 13), the Borders has now seen 8,144 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
The new figures show that for the third consecutive day there are currently eight people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Scotland has now recorded 597,199 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
