IT'S BEEN a busy month for the Lowden brothers from the village of Oxton in the Scottish Borders.

Popular actor Jack Lowden is the latest name to feature in the Art Fund’s Meet Me at the Museum podcast series which features well-known faces taking someone they love to a favourite museum or gallery, to explore what's on offer, have a chat about what they find, and generally muse on life.

Series six of the show kicked off with Dunkirk and Mary Queen of Scots star Lowden who headed into the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh with friend and fellow actor Andrew Rothney.

The pair discussed their passion for Scottish history as they explores his favourite museum in a new podcast.

As well as getting a peek behind the scenes, finding out what makes a museum tick, these visits are also the starting point for some great conversations about life, the universe and everything.

In the episode, the pair discuss the Jacobite uprisings and how meeting at drama school led to a shared love of castles and adventures – given their several star roles as historical figures.

Meanwhile Jack’s brother Callum has become principal dancer at The Royal Swedish Ballet.

A world-renowned performer, he is best known for his roles in productions including The Nutcracker and Alice in Wonderland.

Callum started dancing at the Manor School of Ballet in Edinburgh and is now in his 11th season with the Swedish company, having moved there in 2011.
