AN INTERACTIVE Borders map shows the locations of new cases of coronavirus in the region.

The Borders is split into 30 neighbourhoods on the Public Health Scotland tool.

The map displays data from the period October 13-19.

According to the map, Langlee recorded the highest seven-day rate per 100,000 of 747.1 during that period.

Eyemouth recorded a case rate of 742.9, Lauder and Area had a rate of 674.6, Melrose and Tweedbank Area had a rate of 665.2, Galashiels West reported a rate of 568.9, Peebles North recorded a rate of 536, Denholm and Hermitage had a rate of 514.3, Jedburgh recorded a rate of 470.5, Galashiels South reported a case rate of 450, Cheviot West had a rate of 437.3, Earlston Stow and Clovenfords Area recorded a rate of 421.8, Burnfoot had a case rate of 402.5, and Berwickshire East recorded a case rate of 400 per 100,000.

Fourteen areas recorded cases rates between 200-399 per 100,000.

These areas included: Galashiels North (399.1), Selkirk (345.3), Hawick West End (333.4), Chirnside and Area (328.2), Tweeddale East Area (312.6), Kelso South (296.9), Cheviot East (280.7), Berwickshire Central (263.5), St Boswells and Newtown Area (263.3), Hawick Central (260), Ettrick Yarrow and Lilliesleaf (254.5), Kelso North (248.1), Hawick North (239), and Coldstream and Area (218.3).

Peebles South recorded a case rate of 186.7 per 100,000 of the population and Tweeddale West Area recorded a rate of 129.5.

Duns recorded between zero and two positive cases of coronavirus in this time frame, so was not assigned a seven-day case rates in order to protect patient confidentiality.
